365 & Nasi Goreng

Mini-me made another 10/10 meal last night. Nasi Goreng. An indonesian rice dish. He scrapped the ingredients he didn't like and added a couple of cinnamon sticks for the fun of it. It was incredibly good. Really succulent chicken and softened red pepper slices that had taken all the flavour of the garlic and spices. We ate it watching Gordon Ramsay cooking with Gok Wan and then finished our meal with strawberries and creme fraiche while Gordon made baked alaska.
I also took the hound out for the first time with my bike which was such fun. He's a bit wary of getting too close but once off the lead he bounds along next to me :) Although I did have to spend a great deal of time stopping so he could sniff things!

Just to say that if you want me to buy you some wine before you come to France (since you'll be here on a Sunday and shops won't be open here) then let me know what I should get. Can't make any promises about what I will find, tho!!

OOh that would be fab. I don't mind what you get as I'm on a wine tasting spree this year so as varied and different as you like. Thanks :)

Oh dear, you've scared me now! I am such a know-nothing about wine! Could you at least tell me vaguely what sort of price bracket to buy from?? And red, white, rosé...? And some vague idea of how many bottles?

oh ok, sorry that was pretty vague wasn't it. ok. i prefer reds and i don't want to go too expensive. the whole idea is to get some reasonably priced things. as a rough guide how about half a dozen bottles and about £30. a bit over isnt' going to be a problem though.

thanks mate :)

You should be able to get some quite nice stuff for that sort of price ... assuming I choose well of course (eek!).
