Introducing MONTY!!
We picked up this beautiful lurcher X from a rescue home
today. With more bounce than the average hound, Monty is
part of our family now :)
His foster home thought he may be crossed with Pharaoh's Hound -->
but he definitely has lurcher lines to him -->
So far he seems very friendly, very quiet but very bouncy!

Have you stopped calling him Moooooontah yet? Requires standard operating issue sloane ranger accent, circa 1986 to sound correct.

mr k and minime are angling for a new name but here i am putting my foot down. Monteh it is. He's registered at the vet's as Monty and I'm not budging.
He really is a rather handsome hound. I look forward to giving him the once over next time we catch up. JJ approves as well.

already looking for ways to minimise doggy smell in the lounge. he was going to live outdoors but he cried so we gave in!
no introduction to the cat as yet. decided the move here was enough to unsettle him without bringing a cat into the equation.
The easy option, to minimise smell, is to laminate him. Tends to restrict movements and upsets the ALF but does the job. Or buy clothes pegs and apply to nose.

ha ha ha. i knew that would make you laugh! mr k went in to check on him in the lounge before going to bed and found him on the chair watching telly.
Great. He can go 50:50 on the Sky subscription. I am sure Mr Murdoch will accept dog biscuits and a cute expression in lieu of good hard cash. Hope Mr K. is feeling better - dog is a good substitute for postponed holiday frolics. Off to bed now, see you soon.
