I had a customer today who, in order to better help me recognise the book after which she was enquiring, said; 'It's got a binding down the side.'

    You must get the same customers I get.
    "Would you like seated or standing tickets, " I ask.
    "What does that mean?" they reply.
    "It means you can sit in a seat or stand up," I say, trying not to sound sarcastic.
